I always love coming here. Everything that I've had has been amazing and delicious. Food comes out fast and the service is no frills and concise. I wish they had more outdoor seating but I enjoy sitting inside.

My brother and I both got the shrimp and vegetables bowl in regular and large. The regular bowl only had 3 pieces of shrimp and the large bowl only had four pieces of shrimp. I consider this to be extremely stingy, especially because the beef bowls had lots of beef in them and are the same price as the shrimp bowls. Other than that, the bowl was tasty.

For me to rate Pho spots in Mountain View, they have to be up to par to my standards. So after going here over 10 times, I am finally writing my review. I've tried a variety of dishes: pho, bun bo hue, com, cha gio, bun thit nuong. And my family and friends have come here for Sunday dinners, after our church service. Alright, it's a family style place, what you'd expect to have good eats and in and out, but they don't rush you if you happen to linger (as my friends and I did, unintentionally). The servers are friendly and very efficient...I like that. Let's get to the food: pho broth is legit, the bbh is a bit spicy for my taste (but that's because my stomach can't handle spicy foods as I used to). The cha gio is actually pretty good, which is saying alot, but once you've eaten homemade egg rolls, you will compare every place to yours. Their rice dish with pork chops and egg is delicious. I'm also a fan of their bun thit nuong cha gio, very nice if you don't want anything hot. With all the places near Castro to choose from, if you are in the mood for some authentic Vietnamese food without breaking the bank, the food you get for the value, can't be beat. Come and taste! We went for dinner on a Friday and there was no wait. We got the Veggie Spring rolls for appetizer - The peanut sauce and the hot suace were great accompaniments. We wanted to try the Vegetarian Banh Mi but unfortunately they had run out. We ended up ordering the Pho Chay - Which was served warm and the broth had a really nice umami flavor (a bit on the salty side though). We also got the Bun Chay - Which was alright - It was very similar to the Pho Chay minus the tasty broth. The surprise of the day was the Sugarcane Juice with Kumquat - It tasted great!!Quantity for price was questionable as it was just filled with ice but the drink tasted great FWIW. Very generous portions for the entrees and we had leftovers enough for another meal for two.

Came here on recommendation from my husband as he ate here 7 years ago on a one-month business trip and he loved it everyday. It sounded wonderful, didn’t it? So, I had high expectations. Needless to say, nope, this place did not meet it. We ordered one Fillet Mignon Pho, one Bun Bo Hue and one fresh Spring rolls. For that price, I had to say they served such small portions of pho and noodles. We had to add the whole dish of bean sprouts to fill full. Pho broth was just okay. bun Bo Hue broth was good, but we definitely had better ones. The noodles in Bun Bo Hue were overcooked that it literally melted in my mouth. Guys, that’s now how noodle texture should be. The only good thing would be fresh Spring rolls. So, when I asked how my husband felt after coming back after 7 years, he replied as the food was not how he remembered. He looked so disappointed.
